Test Flight 1 Complete

The first test flight of HF-24 was completed February 4th. While a few bugs were discovered the team is excited at the progress that has been made. The day consisted of one successful hop test and a longer duration hop test that resulted in damage to the fuselage. We are looking forward to getting back out on the field!

Beta Technologies stopped by to talk with some members of the Hoos Flying team during a trip to Florida in mid-October.

SAE Government/Industry

Meeting 2023

On January 18, three of our leads attended the annual SAE Government/Industry meeting in Washington, DC. The team had the opportunity to learn about current efforts involved in moving towards a truly zero or low carbon fuels and network with members of the automotive industry. We were able to answer questions on our designs, and receive feedback and helpful tips for our current plane, the HF-23. We also had the opportunity to meet several other collegiate design teams, learn about their competitions, and exchange ideas on how to improve our organizations. This was a great event and the team is excited to return next year!
